Patio Cushions – Which Fabric is Best?

Unless you are planning to pack them away after use, patio furniture cushions need to be constructed of durable material which would not fade in the sunlight and would withstand wind, rain and hail. Patio furniture cushions are also a perfect way to spruce up your patio while also giving your guests something comfortable to sit on when they come to visit. Therefore you should choose a cushion that is made from waterproof fabric. The most common fabrics are:

- Acrylic is durable and strong fabric that can be cleaned simply with warm water and detergent.

- Olefin is a synthetic fabric which is well known to be resistant to mildew, fading from the sun and common stains. Warm water is enough to keep the clean.

- Polyester coated in vinyl is a waterproof fabric which is highly resistant to dirt, the sun and mildew. These are also very easy to clean.

Patio chair cushions are available in a wide range of colors, patterns, textures, and material options. Home stores usually have a great selection, as do lawn and garden shops. Outdoor fashions can usually indicate what’s in style for the season, but again it is totally up to the customer to decide on which outdoor fabric they would like their patio cushions made in.
